I’m sick of love – Music at Southminster
Arias by Purcell and other 17th century English masters are brought together to create a dialogue between two lovers. Their romantic adventure will play out in four acts, from their first meeting to “they lived happily ever after,” with various twists and turns in between… Each episode features brief commentary in French from Christophe Gauthier, who will frame the narrative from his harpsichord. Humour and outrageousness guaranteed!
Part of the Doors Open Wednesdays noontime concert series at Southminster United Church, Ottawa. See also the same concert on February 12 with the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal.
